About Dr. Patterson
David Patterson, MD
Dr. Patterson received his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine training at St. Vincent Hospital and his allergy and immunology fellowship at the Mayo Clinic. In April 2003, he completed his Masters of Business Administration degree at Indiana Wesleyan University in Indianapolis. In 2012, he completed a certificate in Health Policy and Management from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
Dr. Patterson is an allergy specialist, and a board certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. He is also a fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP), the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (FAAAAI), and the American College of Allergy, Asthma (FACAAI). He has a faculty appointment of Volunteer Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Department of Medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine and serves as section head for Allergy and Immunology in the Department of Internal Medicine at St. Vincent Hospital.
Dr. Patterson has authored multiple scientific publications and is often asked to speak with various physicians and medical professionals regarding the latest advances in allergy and asthma care. He has received the "Doctor of the Year" award from Indianapolis Monthly magazine for eighteen different years, inclucing the last twelve years.
Dr. Patterson is a native Hoosier. He is married and has two daughters. He is on staff with Community Hospitals Indianapolis, Clarian Health Partners, and Ascension St. Vincent.
