Asthma & Frequent Cough

Asthma is a long-term condition which causes the airways to become inflamed and narrowed. Asthma can cause wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, and coughing. Some people, especially children, often experience frequent or lingering cough which may be the main sign of cough-variant asthma. Cough can also come from allergies and post-nasal drainage. Finding the cause of cough is very important for the most effective treatment.
